So then you know that there are the horoscopes that you find in magazines that are three sentences long today will be a good day venture outside get a good workout and happy Thursday and then there are Susan's horoscopes which are four pages long and today for example I am having a financially auspicious day yes meaning well I wish the planet of surprise is trying the Sun if I'm doing something on a day that's important to me you know it's a good day because I picked it what is your mission when it comes to astrology I really wanted to show people what astrology could do for them as a great problem solver because its structure so rich you can get so many different answers and options from it and when time incorporated came to me and said would you write a column for us I went up there and I met the three men in suits and then the editor and they said we want something short for women every day I'm like no we are Time Warner we must be big we must be low we must have a whole site and they're looking at me like really I said I can't change the world at 35 words per sign and I really want to do that I my mom when I was little I told me that you'll start by writing I asked her what will I be when I grow up no nobody writes in our family she said you're gonna write and we're gonna work on your grammar my mother was an astrologer but we never had people over the house she believed in constant study a little Gemini she would read all the time and she felt it wasn't accepted so she couldn't really tell people and I was born with a birth defect so she was trying to figure out the problem I would be in agony but I would never know when I would get an attack and it would last six to eight weeks so it would usually come once a year usually around Christmas my birthday or the Easter Bunny when I get excited but they didn't know what it was I was bleeding internally in a horrific rate and I went to the hospital they operated I was in for 11 months I was paralyzed from the knee down I wanted to know if I'd ever walk again I had to give up attending high school and have home school because the Board of Education works with kids like that took my regions my SATs and all those tests and during that time I wanted my mother to teach me and she kept saying no it takes 12 years to become a great astrologer and I don't want my daughter anything less I said well I'll I'll study 12 years and she said but you're only 14 you don't even know what 12 years is so where am I gonna go I've got two crutches and a great big leg brace she still wouldn't teach me but when I wrote to a horoscope magazine and they published my letter she said did you write a horoscope magazine mothers know everything I said yes but they never answered me that was 7 months ago and she said I think they did and she read me the answer and you know in astrology there's a lot of misconceptions and I was asking my next question nothing is definite I can't tell you you're gonna have a skateboarding accident tomorrow I mean it's not like I could say you know I would rather you didn't do extreme sports on this day but nothing is definite so that magazine editor did an assessment great family support fabulous doctor good aspects of the six house of health and so when she got done my mother said see it looks good I said I didn't understand those words so you have to teach me my horoscope what I do is I make a wheel for each sign but I do a new moon and a full moon for each sign and in September you usually have to do three signs because lately the new moon or full moon has been falling near the end of the previous month that will still be affecting you you know we don't have cut-offs as each month against so I'm looking at those pictures of the sky and NASA tells us the calibration of the planets but you can get that for many sources there's different companies that sell it but it's all the same it's just which font do you like and find easiest to read really and computers can tell you as well they call it an ephemeris and you look for geometric aspects between two pounds here's a good way to explain imagine you're at a cocktail party and there are eight people there and you might see three together talking you may see two fighting over in the corner you may see one walking around by themselves and maybe you see Venus and Mars kissing each other like but I have to make sense of those conversations that the planets are having and are you a Capricorn or cancer what's under Capricorn Capricorn I thought you were by what you were telling me you're
